The Application Mixer plug-in is used to record phone interviews, which I’ll show you how
to do later. For now, close the Excitifier settings window and leave Application Mixer in
Bypass mode.
Inspector
Go ahead and click on the Inspector plug-in’s Editor button. This plug-in doesn’t
affect your sound in any way, but does provide vital information about the audio
you’re recording. We downloaded our plug-in while it was still being distributed by
Elemental Audio Systems, so don’t be thrown off if your version doesn’t include
Elemental’s branding, as seen in Figure 24. Inspector is still the same great
product—the only difference between the current version, distributed by Roger
Nichols Digital, and the version previously distributed by Elemental is purely
cosmetic.
