(A) AudioUnit Effect > LUXONIX > LFX-1310
(B) VST Effect > Excitifier
(C) 4FX Effect > Application Mixer
(D) Audio Unit Effect > Elemental Audio Systems > Inspector
Following completion of these actions, your Effects chain should mirror the setup
depicted in Figure 21.
Figure 21: The complete effects chain.
Now that you’ve got the effects in place, click on the “Bypass” button (E) on each
effect, excluding “Monomizer” and “LFX-1310.” Bypass will turn these effects off
for now, but we’ll turn them back on as we make adjustments. If a green indicator
light (F) is present in the effect square, the effect is engaged.
Push in the 48V button on the front of the interface, which engages phantom
power to drive the microphones.
Click the “Hijack” button at the top-left of AHP and slowly raise your headphone
volume while speaking into the microphone. You’re not recording anything yet,
but you should hear your voice through your headphones. It likely won’t sound
very good, but we’ll clean things up shortly. If you don’t hear anything, review
your connections and make sure you followed the steps as outlined above.
